On September 28, Mexico 2000 Ballet Folklórico will present its new and spectacular artistic production entitled “25 Years of Tradition.”
A journey through the culture of Mexico, a country with an ancestral mix of cultures and traditions that endure. Dances and typical costumes from different regions will be exhibited on stage, creating an enchanted atmosphere of magic, light and color of our traditional Mexico.
With a cast of more than 100 dancers and live music, from Jalapa Veracruz Grupo Nimbe and Mariachi Jaliscience from Dallas, TX.
This is a show that will highlight the new productions from Yucatan, Jopala Puebla, Tixtla Guerrero, Durango, Huasteco Veracruzano and Hidalguense, Huapango Arribeño from San Luis Potosí, Nayarit, Veracruz, the Mayas and a representation of a traditional Mexican Charra wedding in Jalisco.

Ballet Folklórico Mexico 2000 has strived to preserve and promote our culture in the communities of North Texas for the past 25 years, having earned the designation of “Masterpiece” by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Un viaje a través de la cultura de México, un país con una mezcla ancestral de culturas y tradiciones que perduran. Se exhibirán en el escenario danzas, bailes y trajes típicos de las diferentes regiones, creando una atmosfera encantada de magia, luz y color de nuestro Mexico tradicional.
Con un elenco de mas de 100 bailarines y musica en vivo, desde Jalapa Veracruz Grupo Nimbe y Mariachi Jaliscience de Dallas, TX.

El Ballet Folklórico México 2000 se ha esforzado por preservar y promover nuestra cultura en las comunidades del Norte de Texas durante los últimos 25 años habiendo obtenido la designacion de “Obra Maestra” por parte de Fondo Nacional para las Artes.

Christmas in México. During 22 consecutive years México 2000 Ballet Folklórico under the direction of Mary and Alex Palencia will be presenting the play "Christmas in México” or “Navidad en México” a Pastorela-Dance.
This choreographic montage, with more than 100 participants, is a representation of the birth of Jesus Christ filled with a message of love.
The symbolism of the Nativity will be represented in several episodes, including many traditional dance numbers like: the annunciation, the hermit, journey of Mary to Bethlehem, the devil and the angel with the shepherds, offerings, the little drummer boy, traditional Christmas songs and dances, the piñata, the three wise men, and joy to the world!.
During the December cold days we cannot help paying attention to the dynamics observed throughout Mexico and see people’s enthusiasm and diligence by performing tasks in common: choose, create or buy a special gift, this practice of giving goes back more than two thousand years, time in which humanity received a demonstration of the existence of agape love, materialized through the birth of Jesus, to fulfill the prophecy of the old testament: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). This baby was born in the village of Bethlehem, a humble place, where he received three gifts of wise men, which established a new tradition, a wonderful occasion at the origin of giving.
México 2000 Ballet Folklórico offers this gift to those who like dance and music remembering the events around Christmas, wishing to the community that the birth of love bear fruits of joy, peace, harmony and hope in their hearts.
